As leaders in the cement industry, Cement Australia actively seeks to reduce our impact on the environment through sustainable practices.
We already employ measures such as using paper packaging, utilising electric trucks for transportation, exploring alternative fuels, and incorporating supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). We are currently exploring further reducing embodied carbon in our products, increasing energy efficiency, and carbon capture technologies.
Cement Australia has published Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for bulk cementitious products, with an increase in datasets to include packaged products yet to come.
Available EPDs can be found at: https://epd-australasia.com/company-epd/cement-australia/
Cement Australia is a founding member of the Materials & Embodied Carbon Leaders’
